JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — An 80-year-old man is hospitalized Saturday after he was significantly damage in a hearth in Jersey City.
It occurred on Danforth Avenue simply earlier than 9:00 p.m. Friday at a high-rise constructing for seniors.
Dozens of firefighters responded to the scene.
Jersey Metropolis Fireplace Chief Steven McGill mentioned the firefighters confronted powerful situations.
“The hearth was on the second flooring in a single single residence… seemed to be some hoarding situations within the residence, so it was tough to get into the residence and search and discover the hearth,” McGill mentioned.
Nobody else was damage.
The reason for the hearth is underneath investigation.
